für den Windows Home Server mit Power Pack 1, wurde gestern von Microsoft das Update KB961030 veröffentlicht und kann über Windows/Microsoft Update installiert werden!
Das Update behebt folgende Probleme:
Windows Home Server Connector software
Users who have either modified or deleted the Home Server Connector Software folder in their home server’s shared Software folder may encounter problems on their home computers after an update is applied to their home server. Going forward, if the Home Server Connector Software folder has been improperly modified or accidentally deleted, future updates to the home server software will repair and replace the Microsoft-provided files in the Home Server Connector Software folder. Only those files that are shipped by Microsoft will be replaced, not those files that are shipped by a hardware manufacturer from whom a user may have purchased his or her home server.
We strongly recommend that you do not alter the Home Server Connector Software folder. If you decide to reorganize or modify the Home Server Connector Software folder, you may lose the functionality that is provided by your hardware manufacturer.
Home computer backup and restore
Some users may encounter issues when they restore files and folders from a Home Computer Backup file. This update provides new functionality to help prevent the Home Computer Backup process from stalling when it reaches a status of 79 to 81-percent complete.
After they run the backup database repair process, some users cannot open a Home Computer Backup file from the Windows Home Server Console. After you apply this update, you can open home computer backups whether the home computer backup database repair wizard has been run or not.
