die Mozilla Foundation hat die erste Beta der zukünftigen Firefox Version 3.6 ihres zum Download bereitgestellt. Die Basis von Firefox 3.6 soll die Rendering-Maschine Gecko 1.9.2. sein. Das Werkzeug Personas wurde in Firefox 3.6 integriert, somit kann das Aussehen der Browseroberfläche anpasst werden. Die JavaScript-Performance sollen ebenso verbessert worden sein wie Reaktions- und Startzeiten gegenüber der Vorgängerversionen.
Außerdem soll die Version 3.6 von Firefox auch die Jumplists von Windows 7 unterstützen.
über ithinkdifferent bin ich auf den SkyDrive Explorer aufmerksam geworden. Damit ist der Zugriff auf Windows Live SkyDrive vom Windows Explorer aus möglich!
Der SykDrive Explorer kann Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Server 2003, 2008 und Windows 7 genutzt werden. Zurzeit ist die Version noch in Beta 1 Statium.
bisher enthält nur Windows 7 den neuen Remote Desktop Client (RDP) 7.0, womit sich mit dem Client auch sämtliche grafischen Funktionen wie z.B. Aero während einer Remote Desktop Service Session nutzen lassen, entsprechende Hardware und Konfiguration RDS vorausgesetzt.
Um die Remote Desktop Service (RDS), auch unter Windows XP und Vista, nutzen zu können, hat Microsoft nun auch XP und Windows den RDP 7.0 Client bereitgestellt. Der KB-Artikel dazu lautet 969084.

Wenn die Funktion „Neueste Chronik löschen“ verwendet wurde, wurden anschließend auf einigen SSL-Seiten nicht mehr alle Bilder und Webseiten-Stile geladen, bis die Seite neu geladen wurde (Bug 480619).
Microsoft hat den Windows 7 Beta Testern eine Mail zugeschickt in sie die Möglichkeit haben am neuen “Microsoft Security Essentials Ongoing Beta Program” teilzunehmen. Leider ist es Private Beta, d.h. nicht jeder hat die Möglichkeit an dem Programm teilzunehmen. Die Build Version der neuen Beta lautet Build 1.0.1676.0.
Auf Microsoft Connect steht zur Zeit noch die Beta Version Build 1.0.1500.0 zur Verfügung, als RTW Version wurde die Final Build 1.0.1611.0 veröffentlicht.

heute erreichte mich die Mail vom MicrosoftOffice 2010 Team, dass Office 2010 Technical Preview Programm endet, weil man in die Public Beta Phase eintritt:

Wie schon berichtet, soll es auf der TechEd EMEA 2009 in Berlin soweit sein, dass dann auch die Office 2010 Public Beta für jedermann verfügbar ist.
Microsoft hat das Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool zur Verfügung gestellt!
Damit soll es Nutzern von z.B. Netbooks oder Subnotebooks OHNE DVD Laufwerk einfach ermöglicht werden, Windows 7 per USB Stick zu booten und zu installieren. Es wird aus einem ISO oder der DVD ein bootfähiger USB Stick erzeugt von dem dann die Windows 7 Installation gestartet werden kann, dafür muss das BIOS des Zielrechner das “USB Boot” Feature auch unterstützen.

ab heute ist Windows 7 endgültig für die Öffentlichkeit freigegeben! Bisher hatten nur TechNet/MSDN Abonennten, Microsoft Partner oder Volumenslizenzkunden Zugriff auf Windows 7, mit dem Launch am 22. Oktober heute ist Windows 7 für jedermann erhältlich.
OEM/System Builder Versionen von Windows 7 Home Premium sind schon ab ca. 70 € zubekommen, Ultimate Versionen liegen bei ca. 140 €.
